Amazing find! It is located in Hebron, Texas (Pop. 32) on the border of Carrollton. It is located next to Hebron Gardens. The smell will drive you crazy! The people who run the BBQ shack are very friendly and knowledgeable. They even make their own hot sauce (Gordy's) which is sold to area restaurants and rebranded to fit the need. The smoker is out front with the iconic Kip's Big Boy Sculpture which strikes memories of hamburger joints from the past. I ordered sliced brisket, hickory sausage, pork ribs, green beans, potato salad (divine) and a can of pickled carrots (yet to be tried). You receive a discount if you pay in cash. A sign posted says that they are the 2nd best in Texas. I asked about this and was told that since everyone states they are the best why not 2nd best? Too funny! Loved this place and the people there. Definitely, guarantees a great meal on the run or for the family, later.
Absolutely hands down the BEST bbq in the area. The turkey is amazing. The bbq sauce is homemade and delicious!!! Great customer service. Just all around awesome place. A hidden gem!!! I would have posted a pic but we literally ate it in the car on the drive home. Don't judge!
Cute little shack. Didn't have to wait in line but people did start to flow in as we sat down with our food. The meat was tender and juicy. No dryness at all, even the turkey meat! The Mac and cheese was nice although the cheese sauce was thinner than I would like it to be. We really liked the peach cobbler. It comes with a side of blue bell ice cream to eat with it. The potato salad was also delicious. Would definitely stop by again when we're in the area
I frequent this place often and the food is very consistent. I enjoy getting the Texas chuck with brisket, the brisket sandwich and the rib sandwich never misses. Now that they have the Texas missile I’ll be getting those every time too.
This is good Que. the chili he offers is maybe the best chile I’ve had even better than my own . Come spend some money and same time. You won’t regret it at all. Good bbq and good people. Come support your local economy with Texas bbq.

Updating since we go there often. They do a fantastic special sandwich, check out the picture. I keep telling myself I'm not going to eat the whole thing in one sitting, but so far I haven't listened. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. Food is always GOOD. Folks are nice as can be. It isn't a fancy place, but it is "the second best bbq in Texas".
